Birth

The first thing that comes into mind about birth is that you yourself, when you were born, did not have any say in it, you did not control any of it. And the very same is with rebirth. With the difference that one was in the flesh, and the other in spirit.

A man has to be born twice to become good, and to inherit eternal life. So if you do not control any of it, then how are you expected to be reborn in spirit?

Bad from birth

The former statement implies that from the birth of the flesh only, man is not good. This what the Bible says in much stronger terms. When you are born you are of your father the devil. Because in the flesh you please the devil. A harsh statement but true. As the whole Bible is only of Truth. You don't have to teach a kid to lie or to steal - it is already built in. That is why we need good parenting growing up, with God as our shepherd. Put God out of the equation, and things go down hill really fast. After God left out, bad parenting starts. Not producing any nice children. That's how I look at the world today.

But to make it worse in a sense how bad we really are, the Bible says also none of man was good. Not one. But the one who came from heaven, He was good, and through Him, because He was blameless and was punished for our sins, we may receive salvation. I am talking of course about Jesus Christ.

A price

Jesus Christ who was our creator, suffered for us, for our sins, big time. He was humiliated, slain, slaughtered and nailed on the cross, so His sacrifice will be accepted by God the Father that we sinners might have an opening to eternal life. So God not only sacrificed His own Son for our sins but also let Him suffer for it. The Wrath of God was taken out on Jesus Christ for you and me.

That's the price Jesus Christ paid, the ultimate sacrifice. Not just dying for us, but also to suffer for us. Now you understand that the gift of eternal life is not without a price. The price is actually the very thing Christ died for, your sins.

How does it work?

In simple terms when a sinner is ready to accept the Gospel of Jesus Christ, accepting Him as Lord and Savior, and the sinners heart is absolutely sincere for sacrificing sin, meaning to deny yourself, then God will surely give His grace. But this cannot be faked. God sees straight through the heart. The experiences vary from person to person who is saved. Some people remember the exact moment that they think they were saved. With others they just don't know when it happened.

How do you know?

It is written that once you receive the grace from God, then you are sealed. The devil cannot take you anymore from God's hand. And from that moment on God is your father. And that is also the moment when the Holy Ghost starts to manifest in your life.

Like mentioned above, God sees through the heart, and that is what is going to be changed. You'll get a new heart. Of course not a physical one. Some of the signs you will notice:

  • You become thirsty for the Word of God, wanting to read more, hear more, learn more...
  • You will hate the world for its deeds because the devil is their father.
  • If you pray for answers about who is God, and all those questions you have. It will be a great experience how the Holy Ghost answers you. You think the first few times maybe a coincidence. But that assumption will soon fade because the Holy Spirit helps for real.
  • You see some bad habits you had fading even disappearing.
  • You'll find that you want to talk with others about God, and even have urges to save others.
God is a real Father

So the positive experiences are very nice, but God the Father is not just a title. It is His character. Otherwise God would not choose this title. But this really sticks out. Why? Well we humans do like dip ourselves in sin from time to time. God the Father does not always act when you do something stupid as a reborn. But when He does intervene it could  have some bad consequences. But that is when the Father shows you that He is God. Even better, God shows you that He is your Father and your path to Him after your rebirth is to become holy. Because your sacrifice was sin.

God can take extraordinary measures if needed in order to keep you in check. That could mean that God disables you from doing your sin or sins. Because that is what a good Father does.

Death is not out of existence

God's interpretation of death is a eternal penalty. So we are born with the death penalty. Because or first sin is inevitable to make. But death to God does not mean, out of existence. Death means out of His presence. And out of His presence is hell, where the Bible says, there will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. So after you pass on as only a flesh born, you'll live forever in hell, and there is nothing like it.
In contrast, life is with God, in heaven.

Blue pill, Red pill

So there you have it. You take the red pill, you let God to be God, and you do your own thing. You take the blue pill, and you will see what is really going on. Your eyes will be opened, you'll get revelation after revelation. And once you take the blue pill (once you received the grace of God), there is no turning back, and the devil cannot undo it.

Choose wisely, but don't take too long, you do not belong to you. The Lord Jesus Christ owns you and everything seen and unseen that is. Actually everything is given out of grace, nothing is earned. You live on borrowed time and any minute could be your last.

Even the worst of man can repent because God is greater than all of His creations. Don't say you are not worthy. We all had the death penalty. Seek rebirth in Christ.

Amen.
