Why are Christians so very much misunderstood?

It all started when the church age began after the Christ ascended to Heaven. Christians were considered cannibals as no-one understood the blood and body of Christ when breaking the bread and poring the wine when we remember Him. Christians were even considered atheists by the Romans because Christians worshipped only one God. Naturally, Christians are no atheists and we remember our Lord what He did at the table at the last supper.  

But in our time if you say you are Christian you are already condemned by the world. Why is that? The main reason is because people do not know the real Christian faith. The Christian faith goes through a very narrow passage. As our Lord said, many will seek, but only few will find. In this contrast the few are real Christians. The rest is not, even if they profess to be Christians. So there are a lot of false Christians in the world, and the number is growing. And the works of false Christians, that gives Christianity a bad name. Those who did not act out of faith were never real Christians to begin with. So throughout all of history, the wars, the persecutions and the political power the churches so much wanted do not have any root in the real Christian faith. These were people were not seeking God but they sought power and the respect and admiration of people. 

But the world has trouble to make this distinction, who is a real Christian and who is not. Because the world is not Christian. I can say this because if you are a real Christian, you do not want to belong to the world, you belong to the next world where our Lord Jesus Christ lives. We live in this world to uphold and to proclaim the glory of God, the Son and Holy Ghost, and to save others from eternal damnation.

But let us make it easy for the world to understand what a real Christian is, here is just a glimpse: 

1. A real Christian lives by the Word of Bible, it means for sure to adhere to the 10 commandments. But there is much more to it... 
2. A Christian (therefore) never picks up arms. Because our battle is not with the flesh, but only with the powers of darkness. So if you say, you are Christian but you join the crusades like in the middle ages. You are not a true Christian.
3. We Christians may not judge, because otherwise we will be judged by our own standards. Example: the Lord condemns people who practice sexual perversity. We as Christians can only warn you of our Lord, because we know that He'll do to the wicked. The judgement is of our Lord and no-one else is to judge. But the Lord condemns a lot more:
   1. Liars and cheats
   2. Cowards
   3. Murderers
   4. Backtalkers
   5. Adulterers
   6. Extortioners
   7. etc ... 
4. To follow Christ is to deny your very self, because you are of this world, and Christ is not. So real Christians battle daily with the flesh, bad habits and confrontations that we are made aware of. We win and we loose - no one on this Earth today is holy. If you have no battles with the flesh, you are no Christian, and you are not in Christ. 
5. Real christians consider God the Father, God the Son and the Holy Ghost holy. If you have repented and received God's grace, then you may consider yourself a real Christian, because only then the Holy Ghost enters you and He changes your heart over time. This indicates a transformation proces, and it takes time, and there is no formula for it. I can testify that this process is real. So it does not mean Christian themselves are holy. Because until the last day of our lives on this world, we stay sinners. Only through faith in Jesus Christ we are justified for God the Father as Jesus paid the randsom for all sinners on the cross who follow Christ.
6. Politically no-one has anything to fear from a real Christian as we are bound by God's commandments to God the Father through Jesus Christ. And the commandments are very clear. God says that we should obey the government law as long it does not violates His Law. 

Our enemy is satan, but you should consider satan the enemy as well. But the world does not understand that everyone is of his father the devil from birth, as were we. You are born in the flesh, and evil comes with it. You don't have to teach a kid to lie, or to hurt another kid or to steal or to eat candy like a pig until it pukes... it's all built in. So no-one is good but God. To be of God the Father it takes spiritual rebirth. But God is Holy and adopts those who want to repent from their sinful life and accept and believe in the Son of God, Jesus Christ who died for our sins, who showed us the way. God wants no-one to perish, but repentance is the great condition.

If you are not of God the Father, you do not have the Holy Ghost in you, then you are filled with self-righteousness. And it will be, especially in the end-time where we live in now, very difficult for you to understand God's righteousness, because you think you are already good yourself. But once you read and study the Word of God you will find how wicked you really are and why you need the Holy Ghost desperately to come within a mile of the goodness of Jesus Christ. The devil does not want to know al this. But God does. And it is for your sake not to fear the devil but God, because hell is real and it is eternal damnation. 

So you may conclude that if you are of this world, you are of your father the devil. If you are reborn in spirit, you are of God the Father. And once that happens the devil cannot snatch you from God's hand. You are sealed. But if you do not repent, you stay in self righteousness, blinded by evil, and you are blinded to see the evil you do. And yes you still have some sense of good and bad. But that does not get you to heaven. 

Nothing you ever did, your self justified good works, gets you to heaven. Because God does not accept you in heaven because of your works. To be accepted by God the Father is something you do not control. When you are sincere about accepting Jesus Christ and wanting to stop all wickedness, in fear of Holy God the Father, then you may receive grace by God. But God sees right into your heart, you cannot fake it. If you want to do good, then first save yourself. Get to know God by reading scripture, go to church, talk with brothers and sister in Christ, and when you grow from infant to more, God may lead to good works. 

So when ever you see a real Christian proclaiming the Gospel. He is not looking for income - he doesn't care. What he does care about is trying to save you by preaching the Word of God. And by proclaiming the Gospel your Christian is already humiliating himself because he knows the crowd. But in his humiliation he will have reward in heaven. The Truth is hidden and satan does not want you to know the Truth. A true Christian proclaims the Gospel because:

• it is for the Glory of Jesus Christ because He is the Word.  
• he learned to loves his enemies through Jesus Christ and wishes to save them.
