Not appointed to Wrath - 1st Thessalonians 1:9-10/5:1-11
In the following passage the Apostle Paul declares to the Thessalonians that that the repented ones are saved through Jesus for the Wrath to come. This is actually a very important message for the Church of Jesus Christ, because this is also called the great hope for rescue. If the Lord intends us to be subjected to the antichrist reign, it certainly will be the great hope.
9 For they themselves declare concerning us what manner of entry we had to you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God, 10 and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come.
In these few verses you can see at the end that Jesus delivers us from the Wrath to come also referring to the Great Day of the Lord. So that is proof that "delivers us" means "saves from the Wrath to come". And that is implicitly done by the Rapture. There is nothing else known by which you can be saved from the Wrath to come.
In the NIV translation: "and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead—Jesus, who rescues us from the coming wrath."
First comes the Rapture, then comes the Wrath of God. It does not mean there is nothing in between. But we do know what is before and what is after.
