{EDITING} ...Dear JD, 

As you know I am a Christian, and I know you are a man of the world. But so was I. The reason I write you this letter is because things are about to happen in this world and there isn't a whole lot of time left. Because Christians are only in the business to save people from eternal damnation, I would have failed in my duty if I did not try to save my good friend JD. 

So what I'll try to explain is:

1. Part 1: How did I become a believer in God?
2. Part 2: Which God is God, the search for Truth.
3. Part 3: What is the Gospel. How can you be saved?

PART 1: How could I become a believer?

What I am about to tell you, will not have impact on your own conviction, because my words have no power. Only the words of God have power in you, as long as you have ears that want to hear. My goal with what I will tell you is that you merely open your mind for research, so you may want to listen later on to the words of power of our Lord.

The first thing you need to do is to open your mind on a scientific level because modern man uses science in mostly for his own convictions:

If there was ever a time that there was nothing, there would still be nothing. Let that sink deep in your brain, because secular science wants you to believe that something comes out of nothing, which is in itself unscientific and absolutely ridiculous. Here is where a lot of seculars become believers in things that are not. 

If there ever was a time that there was something, then there was always something. As we know - because we exist and the universe exists, there was something. Which points to eternity - something with no beginning. And there is cause and effect - the universe did not came out of nothing. But it is not the universe that was eternal, as it is temporal, so there must be something else.

Not bad for just a start? But this is certainly not something I thought of myself. I picked this up from a sermon of R.C. Sproul, one of my favorite preachers. 

Besides eternity, which exists as proof because we exist, there is the question of life. And now we get to point where we can go in all directions. But lets put it on a mathematical display. Using a chance formula:

Chance of Life (Cl) = Chance of creation by Intelligence + Chance of creation by Nature => Clife = Cintelligence + Cnature

So we have an equation based on chance: Clife = Cintelligence + Cnature = 1

There is no other chance to put in here as another possibility. Either it was intelligent or not. But do understand, if it was Intelligence that created us, it was God ultimately. Because if you say aliens from another planet, then who created the aliens?

Our big trouble now is how approach this. I cannot create a chance for intelligence. But I can say: Cintelligence = Clife - Cnature, thus the chance of being created by intelligence is LIFE -/- chance of being created by nature. 

If I focus on Nature -> then I can get to the point on how much chance there is of creating a cell by nature. 

So we have to think of a cell. And probably a very simple one. But the problem I encounter here is that even a single cell is very complex. 

1. Chance - you need all the right materials (molecules) in the right please
2. Chance - there may not be any materials disruptive to the making of the cell
3. Chance - the environment temperature must be right
4. Chance - all chemical reactions must be in the right order 
5. Chance - all the basic building blocks must be made in the right order, and be created in the right order
6. Chance - all cellular network lanes have to be in place in order for the nucleus to be communicating with ribosomes (protein factories)
7. Chance - for reproduction, so there must be food and no hostile environment. 
8. Chance... the cell encoding...

I am no biologist but a cell is very complex. The nucleus has to be in it's own nucleus membrane and positioned in the cell membrane. And there are of course items in the cell that need to be there too like ribosomes and cell plasma etc.... 

All nice and well, but this I cannot compute in a way that I know. But what we can do is to look at DNA. DNA is a program. Like code. It needs to be in the right order to make any sense. To make this work you need the right combination of a set of proteines in order to get some sensible code.

Let's take for example one of the most simple cells that are available today. With only 438 coded genes. Each gene consists of a trinucleotide or codon, some combination of 3 involving A-U-G-C-nucleotides. And there are for each codon 64 different proteins. 3 are used as stop signals. So lets not calculate these. 

We can quickly now calculate the chance for the right program - because it has to be in the right order - for the simplest cell in the world:  (438^61)^-1 =>  (1,35 10^161)^-1 = 7.41 10^-162.

So 7.41 x 10 to the power -162 Is a already an incredibly small chance. I'll take changes for the lottery jackpot any time compared to this. Besides, all the other chances that have be calculated as well, which makes this number only smaller and smaller. We have here only the information, the programming needed for the cell in order to survive and reproduce.

A human has chromosomes with millions of genes. That makes the above chance seem very big in contrast to our programming.The chances of that (evolution) happening coming from a single cell that supposedly once existed, is non-existent. Why? Because each bit of mutation that changes the program has a very very much bigger chance of disrupting the cell function and thereby killing it, than there is a chance of any (unplanned) added functionality. As there is no intelligence involved the chance of breaking down the program by error is so much more bigger than the chance that there is sensible code added. We'd never exist. 

Chicken & the egg

But there is more. There are proteins lets call that X, that cannot be made with the help of other proteins Y, but that other protein Y needs protein X in order to be made. Nature is dumb. Cannot do this. 

By contrast 

All in all, if I would say that there is an exact copy of the Mona Lisa is somewhere lying on the ground on planet in a distant galaxy, made by nature, everyone would say that, that is ridiculous because the Mona Lisa is designed by intelligence. You'll find it only on earth. 

But I'd still say the chances are bigger finding the Mona Lisa made by nature, then to find life made by nature. We have an estimated number of 2 trillion galaxies (12 zeros). Lets be very generous and say that there are 2 earth-type planets per galaxy. 4 trillion Earths... And lets say that the right conditions are there each day to try to make a good program for the most simple cell...

Then we'd have the chance reduced by multiplying it by 4 trillion earths, making the chance: 2.9 x 10^-149.  Then making each day, lets take the secular view of 13 billion years:   (4.745.000.000.000 days)  =>  1,4 x 10^-136

So what I am saying here. Since what the seculars call the big bang. You won't even have the slightest chance in hell to get to only the programming of the most simple cell in the world. Let alone a simple animal. Nothing can bring about the life with chance.

My Conclusion

We are designed. There is no doubt. Also based on the calculation of only the DNA - the universe has not have enough time to produce life based on chance. It would have disintegrated before then. Also the chances are way and way smaller for making the single cell by chance then represented in the calculation above. 

Then only one question remains, who is the one that made us?

And if it is still very difficult to deal with, how about the chance equation: Clife = Cintelligence + Cnature = 0,9999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999... + 1,4 x 10^-136 = 1

It basically says, that believing in God expressed in chance is incomprehensively greater that what a secular believes. And we should not forget the impossibilities. We have nothing to show for on how something can grow into a cell, without there being a cell already. Take out one element or building block and the cell dies. Meaning every part has to be there at the same time. Those odds will grow into some thing much much smaller than 1.4 x 10^-136. And nature has no independent or segregated laboratories in numerous forms that give room for isolated chemical reactions without contamination, that later on can be assembled in a line that creates a cell. Just not done.

Of course scientists have already experimented with computer models if to see if life can be created spontaneously, but all of it failed.... And concerning impossibilities - no matter how long you wait, 10 years, millions of years, they still remain impossible. 

Actually, my conclusion is that  Clife = Cintelligence + Cnature  this is no equation at all As Cintelligence and Cnature are actually mutually exclusive and it boils down to this:

Clife = Cintelligence, but read on...

Evolution theory

Upon further reflection - the evolution theory states that all life in its different forms have mutated somehow into newer lifeforms. But that is not true at all. The evolution theory is flawed if you consider the math behind it - we could not exist. Because mutations are only embedded in DNA. That is the flaw of Darwin, in his time he did not know that DNA existed. Remember that in evolution terms it says: what you don't need you loose? That is totally untrue. You'd have to reprogram the DNA. And with the very essence of life is that you need information, something nature does not provide, because information would need intelligence.

Then how is then all the variety of life explained? It is actually very simple. Because a combination parent DNA produces new varieties already - which common knowledge in biology. It can produce all kinds of new related species to the original one. Therefore the DNA program must be of incredible cleverness. The variety of species was pre-programmed and emerges after N-generations because more and more DNA combinations will be available... The Creator has done all this.

What we were lead to believe is total humbug about evolution. So far we have only seen that tampering with DNA cause unwanted effects, especially in the hands of nature, because nature is dumb. As already outlined, the chance of a good mutation is pretty much non-existend. So the contrary is true, we are only experiencing devolution instead of evolution when it comes to mutations.

The answer is clear to this question. The proof of nature producing anything alive is non-existent. A single cell is so complex that given the amount of time needed for chances to build up to anything close this universe would have passed millions of times. And that is speaking for the most simple lifeform there is. If humans come into the equation you'll have a program consisting of 3.000.000.000 base-pairs. And that my friend will create odds that are no odds at all. 

Also you need to think of the fact that on Earth there is a great veriety of species, living beings - and that is mathematically already an impossibility. 

Therefore intelligence is the only possible explanation.

Part II: The search for Truth

All what we create ourselves has purpose. And so if we are created, we have purpose. And because it is evident that we can see the glory of creation, created by the Creator, the earth with it's  abundance of life and beatiful sceneries, and the universe. We should seek our purpose because the Creator does not show Himself. Several basic questions come to mind:

1. II-A: Which God is the true God?
2. II-B: Why does the Creator not show Himself?
3. II-C: What is the purpose of Creation?
4. II-D: Why am I? What is my purpose?

Part II-A - The True God

As you know there are many religions over the world. And the question to be answered is did our Creator leave us a message? The answer lies in one of all the religions in the world. But only one can be the right one. If God would reveal Himself it can be only by Truth, all other religion would contain untruths. There are a lot of religions you can just skip because you know for sure that God cannot be in those religions, due to elements that can be verified as un-true with the help of science. And therefore you can skip many asian pagan religions like buddhism and alike. 

The True God shall if He really wants to distinguish Himself from all other religion to convey only Truths in His message, otherwise He cannot be believed. So the True God has to value belief in itself very highly because He does not show himself, but only His message. 

Another question you could raise is why is there soo much different religion? Would it not be better to have one and the right one? Ofcourse, but here we have the ongoing battle between good and evil. But it is too early to get to into that know. All I can tell you that all religion that does not believe in the True God is doctrine of demons. It means it contains evil.

Ofcourse you know I am a Christian, and thus The Bible is what I behold as the message of Truth. And why? Because not one lie can be found. Even better, the Bible does not only contain history very well accurately described, and it is still being confirmed today, but also the future - prophecies about the future are already unfolding. Not one book does that. But be sure to understand that there are many.

Besides all that, everything that the Bibile contains about science is true. Before any scholar could identify that the earth was round and has an orbit, the Bible already said so. And there are so many examples of this. The True God knows what He created, and that is conveyed in the Bible.
