SHORTS: Doubts and Troubles - The Second Death

Date: 2026-07-15

Before anything below is read. It is up to you to understand and check full context and conclusions based upon Scripture. In this case read the book of Revelations.

Do you have the same trouble and doubts that I have when reading the Bible? Like man, am I really saved? Sometimes I have trouble even to grasp the simple things of the Bible that can lead me to doubt or a troubled mind, like when I read in the book of Revelations of our Lord:

Revelation 2:11 -  "Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. The one who is victorious will not be hurt at all by the second death."

The little confusion was, what is this second death really, and if I had to be victorious after the first death. So that is a question.

The second death

Only in the book of Revelations using a digital search I have found the following references to the second death:

Revelation 20:6 -  "Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years."

This is a scentence that also indicates a new thing, there are two resurrections. We now live towards the first resurrection. The first resurrection will be at the end of the 6000 years since creation and then the saints will rule the Earth under the rule of Christ for a 1000 years. Satan will be locked up after the first resurrection - and will be set loose near the end of 7000 years. A good question here is, who are we to rule? My guess would be, that we'd be ruling those that came to repentance after the rapture of the Church - because after that at some point the Great Tribulation will start and the most wonderous things will happen. Believing would not be an issue anymore, it is the will and the courage to repent which is at stake.

Revelation 20:14 - Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death.

This is a sentence that comes with questions and maybe some translation issues. Is death a person or those who ended up in Hades. But the core of it is horror - being thrown in the lake of fire.

Revelation 21:8 - "But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death."

Also here, a good reminder what the second death us, being in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is just one description of what hell is like. When you read the book of Revelation you'll see that being thrown in the lake of fire is after God's Judgement.

Judgement

If it comes to judgement our Lord is absolutely Sovereign. So I am not taking point on that here - I'll keep any judgement from me out of this text. For my simple mind the parable of Lazarus in Luke 16:19-25 - the poor and sick dying man leads to the understanding that in this life you get only one chance. The unnamed rich man went to Hades when he died, and Lazerus was received in Heaven escorted Abraham.

So if you repent wholeheartedly to Jesus you are saved. And if you die, you will go to Heaven. If you do not repent, when you die you will go to hell. But even this alinea brings confusion - I'll put this in another article.

For the unrepented: to be hurt by the first death is Hades. But, and here comes, after being in Hades, comes the Judgement of our Lord. And everyone who did not repent will be in Court and be judged the Law of God. And as I far as I can understand for not obeying, the Judgement of our Pure and Holy God is death, in the case of Adam and Eve for eating an apple that would open the knowledge of good and evil. So being in the Courtroom of our Lord and being Judged by the Law of God, is not very recommendable. Because everyone has broken the Law countless of times. You'll understand how serious this is when sin not only by saying and doing evil, but thinking evil is sin as well. And all of this leads me to think that the hurting by the first death (Hades) is less heavy then the second death because that is after the Judgement of our Lord.

Any (wo)man is guilty

Repent of your sins and accept Christ as savior makes you an adoptee of the Kingdom of God, but it does not make you less guilty of breaking the Law. But righteousness is imputed by the only ones, the Holy Trinity, that can impute righteousness on you, because God is Righteous and Holy. So therefore no-one can boast because none was good, not even one. (Romans 3:12).

This one scentence in Revelation 2:11 - does bring a lot of thoughts to the table...

The victory is for those who rather die than to forsake our Lord. Looking the first death related to (true) Christians and righteous Jews a lot of Christians and Jews have suffered horrible deaths for our Lord. And one could associate that to the hurting at the first death (not after). The outcome is Heaven. Once in Heaven you will be judged too, at the appropriate time, by your works if you deserve at all any rewards from the Lion of Juda (Jesus). That will certainly proove if saved Christians are while they were alive on Earth more were busy with God or with their own things...

My Conclusion

Thus in short the answer is: The sentence is really about not to forsake the Lord until death - and keep the faith. All of those conquer death by faith in Jesus, that is the victory. And therefore if you die, that is the first death, you will be lead to Heaven and be with our Lord, and therefore the second death will not be even applicable to you, because that is only for the wicked.

Notice

For Christians, surely this is a message that should make you keep the faith and not to forsake our Lord. This is why we try to save people. This is why we try to save you from the One of Who made you Who warns us from Himself. This is His wish - to proclaim the Gospel. Like the brothers from Living Waters say: We all jumped out of a plane, but God warns that that you have to pull the cord in order to land safely. Jesus is the cord, your lifeline, the Way to Life. Amen.

SHORTS: Doubts and Troubles - What happens to others?!

Date: 2026-07-15

Before anything below is read. It is up to you to understand and check full context and conclusions based upon Scripture. If there are any references mentioned to Scripture, read the whole chapter, or rather the whole book.

When we talk about salvation through Jesus Christ, the non-repented - who have not studied the Word of God, always get to a particular question or being judgemental that God is not just. But be aware of that thought, it is sin already. God is Just. The question in particular or the judgemental background is composed like this:

  • So everyone born before Christ's ministry goes to hell.
  • Everyone who does not know that Christ ever existed goes to hell.
  • The mentally incapabable go to hell, because they do not understand repentance.
  • Babies or little children go to hell - as they do not know what sin is yet?
The Great Commandments

The first thing that comes to mind for me is, God is Just, and He created you.. He'd be millions and millions steps ahead of you in any direction. Meaning all the questions you have He already Judged - and God is Just. First and foremost; being evil is a condition of the heart.

Therefore the Greatest Command of God is, read Matthew 22:34-40: Jesus Replied: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind". But then Jesus says:  And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

There is no Law against whom follow both or one of these commandments. So that takes care first two arguments.

Also read Romans 2:12-16:

12 All who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from the law, and all who sin under the law will be judged by the law. 13 For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God’s sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous. 14 (Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law. 15 They show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts sometimes accusing them and at other times even defending them.) 16 This will take place on the day when God judges people’s secrets through Jesus Christ, as my gospel declares.

Faith is very important to God, because not believing God is sin. Because then you accuse Him of being a liar. While He is Pure and Just. In the Old Testament you see that for instance Abraham was declared righteous by God because Abraham believed Him.

Do not mistake

For those who do not repent to Christ, they might interpret Romans 2:12-16 as a nice backdoor. "Love they neighbor like you love yourself" - may seem easy in your own selfrighteousness. Most seculars think they are good and worthy for Heaven because of their works. But they forget that this task and interpretation of what that Love is, is not seen through your eyes, but through God's Eyes and that how they are judged. The two kinds of love are guaranteed not the same because His Love is Spiritual and Pure and yours is polluted with worldly thinking. We know God the Father through the Son, and so you will see and understand His Righteousness and what He sees as Love. But if you gamble on your own selfrighteousnes...(I would not recommend it, I'd rather know God!). It is said by Jesus that not many go to Heaven even of those who said to believe in Him because not many will want to follow the Way, let alone a gentile trusting on his selfrighteousness and does not want to know God through Jesus.

The incapable

Well, even with our human minds, thinking about babies, children and the mentally incapable, the answer should be very simple... God is Righteous, how do you think He would judge!

A small note on the mentally incapable just to be clear. I refer to those people who have this condition by birth or accident, not by self-infliction like using drugs. Because the Lord sees that as sin. Also a drunk can be seen as a mentally incapable - but that is also self-inflicted. God is spiritual and if man willfully pollutes his mind, sin is at the door.

My Conclusion

God's judgement is ultimate and fair. And He is the only one who makes the rules. For Gentiles, for Christians, for Jews, for those who died before Christ and those who died after Christ. And Christ is the Judge of all. Amen.

SHORTS: Doubts and Troubles - Can I loose my salvation?

Date: 2026-07-15

The word of God is to be studied by anyone who seeks salvation, Scripture is the only source of Truth. If you want to live forever in peace and harmony with God then check every reference and the whole story for Truth, because without it, nothing would make any sense. Scripture makes sense from beginning to end.

This is also something I have known not for no too long. Although it sounds relative, I have been in the real faith for about 4 years. Just to give you an idea. But unfortunately, it is possible to loose your salvation, but the only cause will be you.

Nobody, not even the devil can snatch you away from your salvation. But you have free will. To illustrate this, Jesus had deciples and up til the moment He said that He must die on the cross while not being guilty of sin. This was for most unacceptable and while being in the very presence of God (read Jesus is God), most of these deciples forsook Him, that is the ultimate sin.

See John 6:66 - (yes you read well, not a coincidence):

66 From this time many of his disciples turned back and no longer followed Him.

To put this in analog to the Christians after Pentecost - if you are saved you are indwelled by the Holy Spirit. Once you keep sinning and turn away from the Gospel, The Holy Spirit will probable have tried to stop you at first, but if your heart is persistent in turning away, it is quite the same as what these desciples did. The Holy Spirit leaves you, never to return. That is the Judgement of God.

For any Christian (saved) to stay Christian is keeping the faith, meaning praying and reading/studying the Word of God - and to perservere and endure.

My recommendation

Seek the (real) brothers and sisters in Christ. The real church is not a building. It is those who seek Truth and follow and have faith in Christ and who view Scripture as the only source of Truth. So brother or sister, keep the Faith. Amen.

Welcome visitor! The Kingdom of God is near!

Re-edit: 13-04-2025

The Kingdom of God is near!

Hello to everyone and be joyful because the good news has come to you that The Kingdom of God is at your doorstep. God forgives all who want to repent and be done with sin. For God offered His Son Jesus Christ as ransome for all our iniquity. And Jesus gave His life for all sinners and took the wrath of God upon Himself to suffer for our sins and He payed the penalty - He payed the price for our iniquity. Jesus Christ who stayed sinless to the end at the Cross, resurrected after three days when He conquered death. And therefore through Jesus Christ, who showed the way to the Kingdom of God, may all who believe in Him and repent be saved.  (*)

The God who is Holy, Holy, Holy, has a promised a great life for eternity with everlasting happiness and joy in Heaven.

Be wise and fear the Lord for He has set the promise on condition, all will be forgiven, if you repent and follow Jesus Christ. See to yourself that you are not deceived in thinking that you are good. Because you bring nothing to the table when you repent. Nothing you ever did what was good in your own rigtheousnes cuts anything with God. Read the Word of God, the Bible, and make sure you save your soul, only then you can save others. When you repent and you fall into the mercy of the Lord, the Lord will send you the Holy Ghost to live in you and change your heart. This is your spiritual rebirth. Your eyes will be opened, your heart will change, and you'll live by the Word.

Fear God, says Jesus, do not fear Satan, but fear Him who can cast you into hell for eternity. The devil already knows his fate, and he wants to drag you with him to hell. Hell is the absolute reverse of heaven, don't ever doubt it.

Everyone is born in the flesh in sin; everyone is born of his father the devil. Your spiritual rebirth will make God your Father. And this happens only once. The devil cannot take that away from you. God is the shepherd of His sheep. So be of good cheer, and be joyful as the Lord waits on you. Learn His ways, learn what sin really is, learn who God is. Seek Him. And make sure you repent, don't wait. We all live on borrowed time.

(*) The most important thing one person can tell to another person is telling the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. By revealing the Gospel you can give him or her the chance to be saved from eternal damnation. You are the voice of God at that moment you tell the Gospel as you relay His message that is already written. But by the grace of God a person is really saved. Amen.

The Rapture Study

Hi there brothers and sisters,

This website is dedicated to research the Rapture, which is believed to be be prior to the Day of the Lord. The Day that the King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Jesus Christ will poor out judgement on the wicked of the world. The Rapture is for those who are alive on this world when the Lord calls those who are asleep in Christ first to resurrect in their new bodies. Then followed by those who are alive and remain to meet up with Him in the air.

When I first got note of this event it has come to my attention that there are some different viewpoints on when the Rapture might be. And that surprises me. Because we do know what to take literally from the Bible and what not. Because it is obvious when it is literal and when it is not. Then why is there so much difference in viewpoints?

Because I do not understand why. I decided to look into it in detail myself. Whatever is written here is a study on the Rapture. And with more articles coming knowledge will grow. It is for you to study it too, as you are not to believe my words but the Word of God: the Bible.

Points of attention

United we stand

It is not in the slightest idea to divide churches on this matter. In fact, speculation on when this event is sequenced, should not divide us for being Christian and striving to be Christ-like. Actually it should have the reverse effect, to unite brothers and sisters as this is a glorious event for our Lord. And remember that most apostles were poor guys without "proper" education, mere fisherman. And behold the knowledge they received from Christ and the Holy Spirit. As it is for us small believers, with many we can see more.

I am no teacher

I cannot classify myself as a teacher. I simply don't have the years on the clock with the Bible and with theology. I am almost 60 years and analyst by nature, I worked now for over 30 years in information technology. So the only way I can come into this subject is with an analytical mind and what I have consumed so far about the Word. I am attracted to mysteries. And this is one that I really like. But then it is for you to know, I am just a student of the Word and nothing more. Everything I write has to be questioned and not taken for Truth, only the Word of God is Truth, and everyone has his own portion of revelation about the Word. How to contact me? Just go to the contact section and send me an email.

Not when

We Christians are not appointed to the wrath of God, and we are to look for the signs rather than knowing when because Jesus Himself said that He did not know of that Day except His Father in heaven. But signs frequently in the Bible have an order and that is how you can know when you are close or not. And we are ordered to be watching for signs. So we can prepare ourselves for the time which is to come. That is what this study is all about. It is an open study. And Christians in Christ all over the world are invited to input on the subject with Biblical facts. Especially those who know that the Holy Ghost is in them are invited to input as they can bring revelation through His Spirit.

How to read

The menu on top has a division of items like in a book. One should read it, starting from the first menu item, run down the articles from that menu and continue with the next menu item until you reach the conclusion.

If there is nothing yet to discover in a menu item, then the study has not progressed that far as yet. Surely at least on weekly basis articles will be added. The last article I am busy with is marked in the title with: "( editing... )". So you know where I am at.

Thanks to the Lord

I praise, exalt and thank the Almighty God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob for being able and have the chance to study the Holy subject of the end time in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior in communion with the Holy Ghost, Amen.
